The Law Office has been co-founded by egal advisor Tomasz Ogłódek and Legal advisor PhD MarzenaCzarnecka.
The managing partner, legal advisor Tomasz Ogłódek is a lawyer (Law and Administration Department of the University of Silesia) and an economist (the Academy of Economics in Katowice, currently the University of Economics in Katowice). He had graduated from post-graduate studies and participated in a foreign training related to insurance law and European law (CNESSS France). He had also performed in front of URE, UOKiK and SOKIK on numerous occasions.
The Law Office partner, legal advisor PhD Marzena Czarnecka is a lecturer at the University of Economics in Katowice and at many European colleges. Her current position is 'in-house lawyer' at one of the leading companies on the energy market. She supports the Law Office with her knowledge and experience.
Since its establishment, the Law Office has been mainly focused on :
• Providing legal services to companies;
• Energy law together with specialist legal service;
• Providing legal services for territorial self-government units, including public utility companies;
• Providing legal services for State Treasury companies including their restructuration and privatization;
• Providing legal services to other businesses.
As far as current services for companies are concerned, the Law Office co-operates with their clients in the following areas :
• General law counselling
• Holding registered cases
• Negotiation support
• Legal supervision upon agreements,
• Cases concerning civil law, economic law, administrative law, labour law, social insurance, etc.
The Law Office is also to represent their clients in proceedings before common, administrative and arbitration courts. Moreover, apart from our counselling activity, the Law Office is to offer legal aid of an efficient team of experts specializing in the field of debt recovery.
The team consists of lawyers, economists and administration staff who complete competently about 2,500 judicial and vindicatory cases a year.
Since 2010 the Law Office enables their clients to assert their claims within the Electronic Writ-of-payment Proceedings. This results in the court issuing a payment order in those cases which are not complicated and which do not require hearing of evidence. The Law Office is also capable of submitting an electronic motion of execution to an appropriate court executive officer.
As far as tax counselling is concerned we co-operate with an authorised tax advicor Jacek Jędrszczyk. We do our best to provide both big companies and individual clients with help referring to VAT, CIT and transfer pricing aspects.
